Ingredients
12 oz fresh cranberries
½ cup water
Juice and zest of one orange
½ - ¾ cup of sweetener or syrup
¼ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp clove
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
Directions
Put all ingredients into a saucepan and let simmer until thick.
Place in the fridge to cool down, sauce will thicken more once it cools.
NOTE: The orange you use is going to change the taste. Navel and Cara Cara oranges are on the sweeter side while blood oranges are tarter.
Make sure you are tasting the sauce to make sure it is not too tart. If so, add more sweetener.
Cranberry sauce is not just a Thanksgiving side for all the fear or use to cover up dry turkey.
Add this to your holiday meals with cheese and crackers. Or add to your charcuterie boards for a nice spread.
