Ingredients
3 cups Fresh or Frozen Green Beans
2 cups Mushrooms Sliced
One Onion Chopped
2 tsp Minced Garlic
2 tbsp Olive Oil
4oz of Cream Cheese
½ cup Chicken Broth (I did add more as I cooked)
Dash of Nutmeg
½ tsp Ground Sage
Bacon cooked and chopped, Shredded Cheese and / or Fried Onions
Directions
Preheat oven to 400
Heat oil in a pan, then add onion and garlic. Sautee until onion is transparent.
Make your green beans however you want until they are tender. I used frozen and streamed them in the Microwave.
Add in Mushrooms and cook until tender.
Add in nutmeg, sage, salt, and pepper
Pour chicken broth and scrape the bottom to deglaze the pan. Once broth is heated and at a light simmer. Add in cream cheese
Simmer until sauce is thick.
Add in cooked green beans to sauce and mix until well combined.
Pour green bean mixture into a casserole dish.
Top with whatever toppings you want (Bacon, Cheese and / or Fried Onions)
Baked for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
